Student Cabinet

Role:

To increase student enrollment in secondary schools and Dakhil Madrasas, prevent dropouts, improve quality of education and involve students in developmental activities. In various developing countries, Students Cabinet plays a special role in cleaning school grounds and classrooms, collecting drinking water, arranging seats, improving health, providing educational materials, creating gardens in schools, improving the environment, organizing debates and sports and cultural activities. Collecting the necessary resources and services for the school from the local public representatives in the collective action of the students. Conducting motivational meetings, home visits and liaising with parents to orientate students towards school with the help of Students Cabinet. At the same time, students can play a role in collecting educational and sports equipment at the local level. After the Students Cabinet is formed through the election, the elected representatives will formulate the annual action plan based on the needs through discussion among themselves and identify the sources of support required for this purpose. Through similar exercises they will be informed about future planning activities. Through this, students will become respectful of democratic practices and democratic values from childhood. To this end, students can be involved in all the activities of the school where they can play a role. Primarily they can be involved in environmental conservation, books and learning materials, health, sports and culture, water supply/harvesting, plantation and garden creation and reception and entertainment etc.

Purpose of formation of Students Cabinet:

Practicing democracy and respecting democratic values from childhood.
Showing tolerance and respect for the opinions of others.
To assist teachers in teaching and learning activities in educational institutions.
To support 100% student enrollment and dropout prevention in educational institutions.
Involving parents through students in learning and teaching activities.
To ensure participation of students in environmental development activities of educational institutions.
Ensuring student participation in sports, culture and co-curricular activities.

Functions and Responsibilities of Students Cabinet:

There will be 8 elected representatives in charge of 8 major activities of the school. Areas of responsibilities/activities are as follows.

environmental protection (cleaning of schools, grounds, and toilets and waste management);
books and learning materials;
